Far Above: The Campaign for Kansas

FAR ABOVE:
The Campaign for Kansas

KU Endowment has launched a campaign that will carry the University of Kansas and the KU School of Engineering far into the future. Whether you share a passion for innovative research and discovery, a love of exceptional instruction, or believe all students should have opportunities to excel and succeed, KU Endowment is available to help you support the School of Engineering.

One of the strengths of the KU School of Engineering is the unwavering support of its alumni and friends. Their professional successes have enabled them to foster personal and professional growth in the next generation of engineers and computer scientists through the school.

Alumni support can take the form of scholarships, distinguished professorships, laboratory improvements, School structures and programs and more.

The School of Engineering also hosts a Corporate Partners Program for business and industry aimed at producing additional highly skilled engineers and computer scientists. Members of the Corporate Partners Program support KU’s high school recruiting efforts by providing essential financial support to seek out and engage bright and creative teens.

Young School of Engineering graduates are invited to join KU Endowment’s Deans Club Rising Stars to continue support for the KU School of Engineering. Generous support from young alumni can facilitate cutting-edge research, enhance the prestige and reputation of a KU engineering education, and attract and educate the best and brightest engineering students. Rising Stars Deans Club is a special giving level offered only to alumni 35 years or younger who make an annual gift of $500 to the School of Engineering. Gifts can be designated to support any department, program or initiative within the school. Check with your future employer’s human resources department to see if you gift can qualify for a matching contribution. A financial match by your company can decrease your out-of-pocket giving, but still qualify you for Rising Stars recognition. Learn more at KU Endowment Rising Stars.

Corporate Partners Program

The need for new top talent in the engineering ranks is never-ending. As a leader in business and industry, your firm can play a key role in the effort to get more high-ability high school students to pursue a career in engineering. The Corporate Partners Program at the University of Kansas recognizes this demand for additional capable engineers and focuses its resources from participating organizations on enhancing student recruitment and retention activities. With support from its Corporate Partners, KU can produce an increased number of strong engineering and computer science graduates who help meet the growing needs of business and industry.

Benefits

Our students like to know their hard work and studying are for a reason – a fulfilling career with a progressive, focused employer. The school’s Corporate Partner Program helps students see a future with you.

As a Corporate Partner, your company is recognized throughout the year, and your firm’s name frequently appears before students. The school hosts several annual events where Corporate Partners are recognized, including career fairs, alumni receptions, KU football tailgates, engineering competitions and department banquets. Other benefits include website recognition, acknowledgment in the “Kansas Engineer” alumni magazine, the Deans Club Dinner and additional opportunities to become involved at KU.

Investment

Several Corporate Partners Program giving levels are available and are based on your company’s desire and ability to be involved with the KU School of Engineering. Annual partnerships start at $5,000. A five-year commitment is encouraged to ensure sustained, productive contact between students, the Corporate Partner and the school. Additional contributions can be made to address other needs, such as scholarships, support for distinguished faculty, and classroom and lab improvements.
